Jazzy Jones-Tones Foils

There are two kinds of foils on the market that work great with polymer clay- the “regular” kind which comes in lots of metal finishes- gold, silver, etc. And then- there are Jones Tones. They are mylar-backed, which gives them different working properties, and they come in lots of fantasy colors.

Foils can be used in several ways- they can be used to totally cover an area, giving a metallized effect to the clay, and a popular way to use them is to purposely crackle them, giving a crazed or aged look.

Jones Tones and regular foils crackle differently.
